DR. LINDA LEE TARVER BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Linda Lee Tarver is serving her second and last term as President of the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan (RWFM). The RWFM, specifically, the Detroit Republican Women’s Club was established in 1918 on the mission of promoting Republican women in the advancement of good government and Suffrage.

The RWFM is part of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), consisting of a nationwide network of GOP leading ladies dedicated to protecting God-given inalienable rights, and advancing the Constitutional Republic(an) platform that promotes and sustains freedom, life, American exceptionalism and sovereignty, civil rights, liberty, capitalism, security, safety, opportunity, education, and Judeo-Christian values.

Dr. Tarver has been involved in local and state party politics for many years and has received numerous recognition for her political advocacy including the 2015 Grassroots Leader Award from the Michigan Republican Party and recipient of the 2017 Michigan Republican Women’s Hall of Fame. Linda Lee served as Vice Chair of the Michigan Republican Party, former Chairwoman of the Ingham County Republican Party, member of the 8th Congressional District Executive committee, and former advisory board member of The Frederick Douglass Foundation of Michigan. Linda Lee was also Vice Chair and founding member of the Alliance of Black Republicans.

Linda Lee has served as a National Delegate\Alternate to the past three Republican National Conventions. Ms. Tarver was appointed by Gov. Snyder to the Michigan Civil Rights Commission in 2013 in which she served admirably in pursuit of eliminating discrimination. Commissioner Tarver was a contributor and an instrumental voice in the hearings and published findings of potential environmental discrimination in the Flint Water Crisis. In 2018, the Lansing State Journal featured Linda Lee in a full-page spread as “One to Watch” in political activism.

Dr. Tarver is a national public speaker having engaged conservative women in Ohio, Illinois, Nevada, and via teleconference across the nation. In her various political roles, Linda Lee has visited 75 of the 83 Michigan counties in support of Republicans. On October 24, 2015, Linda Lee was elected President of the RWFM. She is proud to be the first African-American elected as President of the Federation in its 101-year history. Ms. Tarver continues to ‘communicate’ the values of the Republican Party to women of all ethnicities, religions, colors, backgrounds, and walks of life.

During the 2016 Presidential Primary, Linda Lee Tarver was selected as one of only six people in Michigan to serve as Co-Chair for the Trump for Michigan Campaign. Since her appointment, Linda Lee aggressively challenged biases and ideologies that thwart progress for all Americans. Linda Lee’s commentaries and op-eds have appeared in local and national news outlets. She has supported conservative issues and positions on various media platforms including print, television and radio outlets like the CL Bryant Show, Lansing State
Journal, Detroit Free Press, MLive, “Off the Record” with Tim Skubick, Fox News’ “Let it Rip” with Charlie Langton, “Click on Detroit” with Devin Scillion, and Michigan Public Radio.

Dr. Tarver’s political savvy, deeply held conservative convictions, and well researched opinions contributed to Michigan awarding all 19 presidential delegates to Republican Candidate Donald Trump – turning Michigan Red for the first time since 1988.

Linda Lee’s efforts are known nationwide. In 2017, Linda Lee was inducted by conservative women in her state into the RWFM 2017 Women’s Hall of Fame. That same year, Linda Lee was invited by President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to participate in an exclusive Women’s History Month celebration at the White House.

In 2018 and 2019, Dr. Tarver has advanced the power of the GOP Platform through statewide training sessions focused on equipping Republicans to “Combat the Liberal Crazy.” The Platform training has been extremely well-received and gives participants powerful tools to persuade, present, and protect the Party she loves!

Linda Lee is mother to two young adults, Jennifer and Terrance. Jennifer is a graduate of Michigan State University and works as a protective services investigator in Austin, Texas.
